Lovie Turner's Obituary
Lovie Dee Turner, 90, was born April 19, 1934, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to her parents, Winfred C. Turner and Maxie Turner. She gained her heavenly wings on Sunday September 15, 2024, at the home of her niece, who was her Primary Caregiver, Greta Turner. She was a member of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church, where she served on the Courtesy Guild. Lovie Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Winfred C. (Maxie) Turner; brother, Carl Caruthers; sisters, Maxella Turner Lawrence and Florene Brown; nephew, Winfred Turner II. Survivors include her Primary caretakers; niece, Greta Turner and nephew, Moses Turner; other nephews, Ronald, Gerald Turner, Keith Turner; a host of other nephews, great nephews, great-great-nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. Lovie will lie-in-state on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Highland Memorial Gardens with Pastor Melvin Tibbs giving words of comfort.
