Louisa Hill's Obituary
Louisa Walker Hill, better known as “Sue”, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away, Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 3, 1957. She was coined the name “Sue” by her late mother, Louise Walker, at a very young age, and this name carried with her throughout her life.
“Sue” was a 1975 graduate of Riverside high school. She became a devoted mother shortly thereafter. She was a one-of-a-kind spirit. She never met a stranger and was a stand-out in any room that she entered. Some of her favorite things that she enjoyed doing included spending most of her time with her family, whom she loved and adored, karaoke with family and friends, bingo, card games, going to the casino, and looking good while doing it all. Sue just enjoyed having a good time.
Louisa “Sue” Walker Hill was best known for her roles as a mother, grandmother, wife, and daughter. In these roles she shined the most and made the most impact, and she often referred to her kids and her grandchildren as “Her world.” “Sue” will always be remembered for her personality, her singing and dancing during karaoke, and being the best mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hill; mother, Louise Walker; father, Marvin Starling; son, Derrick Walker; and a host of other late relatives including aunts and cousins.
Survivors include her son, Fredrick (Carla) Walker, Sr., of Chattanooga; daughter, Crystal (Cory) Brown Miree, of Chattanooga; sister, Cassandra Copeland, of Chattanooga; cousin, Savonna Hill; 11 grandchildren, Frederick Walker, Jr., Dominique Walker, Shaquille Burks, Khadijah Walker, Kiara Walker, Timothy Appleberry, Jermicheal Walker, Cordai Miree, Jaimetrius Walker, Jaylen Walker, Jaquese Walker as well as special friend, Alan Raywell, of Chattanooga; and a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, friends and relatives.
Louisa will lie-in-state on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Jerry Burse as Eulogist.
