Lou Bertha Wadley's Obituary
Lou Bertha Wadley, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, in a local healthcare facility. She was born April 14, 1932 to the union of Shelton Walker and Julia Means Walker. She was the last child born out of 10 children. Lou graduated from Eureka High School in Ashburn, Georgia. She married Grady Wadley and reared 3 daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Wadley; daughter, Belinda Noble; father, Shelton Walker, mother, Julia Walker; three brothers, J. Y. Walker, Alfred Walker, and Emmit Walker; sisters, Odell Holmes; Cecil Rawls, Charlie Mae Floyd, Mozelle Newborn, Ethel Mae Duncan, Inel Graham; and sister-in-law, Clyde Walker. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Frances Wadley and Vivian (Fred) Smith; 5 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; and several great-grandchildren; caregivers, niece, Terrie Colvin; nephew and niece, Jimmy and Pearl Colvin; a host of other nieces; nephews; cousins; who helped with her care and several other relatives and friends. Lou will lie-in-state on Friday, January 3, 2024, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. There will be no service.
