Lorene C. Waite's Obituary
Lorene Carolyn Waite was born September 2, 1947, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Lorene was a graduate of Howard High School.
Lorene worked in Retail for many years; also, she was a Stay-at-Home Mother, where she raised 5 children.
On Saturday, May 2, 2026, Lorene’s spirit departed this world and returned to her Father in Heaven at the age of 78 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Waite; son, Houston Townsend, Jr.; daughters, Latoya Waite and Felecia Townsend.
Cherishing her memories include her daughter, Telelia Taylor; son-in-law, Patrick Taylor; son, Lonta Townsend; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lorene will lie-in-state on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
