Lonnie Dotley, Jr's Obituary
Lonnie Dotley, Jr., 65, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, in the Hospice Care Center. Lonnie was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and son. He was born on March 20th, 1960, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Vashti McDonald and the late Lonnie Dotley, Sr. He graduated from Riverside High School in 1978. Lonnie loved to work with his hands, so he became an independent contractor. He was truly a man of the people, and he loved to socialize and be around his friends.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Dotley, Sr., and his son, Colton Darnell Dotley.
Lonnie was the proud father of Lekesha (Patrick) Thomas, Lonnie Boyd, and the late Colton Darnell Dotley; he also leaves to cherish his memories 5 grandchildren, Jorden Dotley, Aaliyah Miller, Skyy Thomas, Jessicca Thomas, and Tanyia Boyd, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Cepus Dotley, William Howard, Paris Howard, and Terry Howard; sister, Julie Ann Smith, all of Chattanooga; special longtime friend, Shundra Lawhorn; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Lonnie will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Taylor Funeral Home.
