Lois McKibben's Obituary
Lois McKibben, 83, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, in a local hospital. Lois worked for many years and made many great friendships at Standard Coosa Thatcher Corporation. She later on retired from the textile industry. Lois was known and loved by many because of her bright personality and ability to connect with people through laughter, jokes and wittiness for life which she carried on through her final days. She enjoyed trips to cooking, talking to friends and family, watching tv and going to the casino. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen Bristol and Jesse Parker; grandmother, Maude Brown; son, Gregory Whitten; brothers, George Lee Ross, Lamar Bristol, and Marvin Sims; and grandson, Joshua Destine McKibben. She leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, Andrew (Gwen) Lawrence and Johnny (Angela) McKibben, Jr., both of Chattanooga; four brothers, Robert Sims, Edward (Sandra) Parker, Robert (Joyce) Parker, and Phillip (Angela) Davis, all of Chattanooga; two sisters, Johnnie Mae McElvain and Anna Rose Eason, both of Chattanooga; one sister-in-law, Margie Ross of Chattanooga; six grandchildren, Terica, Johnny III, Jonathan, Jacenta, Jeremiah, and Brandon McKibben, all of Chattanooga; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. Pastor Ronald Tucker will serve as the eulogist.
