Liza B. Jackson's Obituary
Liza Bell Jackson, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025 at her residence. She was formerly employed by Erlanger Hospital in the Housekeeping Department and retired after 35 years of service. Liza was a member of New Direction Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Jackson, Sr.; mother, Anna Castleberry; 2 children, Ann Laure Keith and Fredrick Jackson; 2 grandchildren, Robert L. Jackson, III and Kayden Careathers; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Survivors include her sons, Ambus (Brenda) Scott of Cleveland, OH, Jerry L. Scott of Detroit, MI, Charles Scott of Chattanooga, Robert L. (Renee) Jackson, Jr. of Rossville, GA, and Billy Jackson of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Hattie Weams of Chattanooga, Mozell Scott of Detroit, MI, Elizabeth Jackson, and Thelma (Jerome) Steward, both of Chattanooga; 30 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Myrtle Martin of Anniston, AL; best friend, Mary Jo Brown; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Liza will lie-in-state on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the Chapel with Minister Dorothy Graves as the Eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
