Linda K Jones' Obituary
Linda K. Jones, affectionally known as Aunt Lindy, was born in Alabama on January 4, 1945, to Robert and Doris Boyd.
Linda was a committed production worker and retired from Pilgrim Pride Corporation after 43 years. She was a faithful member of Faith United Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board and the Kitchen Committee until her health failed. She tended to her garden of flowers while listening to gospel music. She was the life of the family parties. She enjoyed cooking and serving her family with her favorite dish, chicken and dressing. She had so much love for her family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Doris Boyd; grandfather, Snap Sivels, Sr.; grandmother, Eltha Sivels; son, Lamar Silvers; brother, Levon Boyd; and sister, JoAnn Hughes.
Linda leaves to cherish her memories her son, Jerry Jones, Sr., daughters, Rosalyn Brown and Penny Jones; sisters, Dorothy (Levi) Ussery, Robbie Boyd, Rosa Boyd, Thresia Finch, Darlene Hughley, and Genneta Boyd; grandchildren, Gameel Jones, Dominique Jones, Jerry Jones, Jr., Janay Jones, Diamond Jones, and Deven Brown; great-grandchildren, Tanaisha Harris, Mariah Jones, Terrancia McClarty, Jermel Jones, and Treazure Berrien; 4 great-great-grandchildren; best friend and co-worker for 40 years, Darlene Aaron, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Linda will lie-in-state on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Baptist Church with Pastor Clinton Waller as Eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
