Mr. LeVon "Bunny" Boyd's Obituary
LeVon “Bunny” Boyd, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 in the Hospice Care Center. He was a 1970 graduated of Howard High School. He was a veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps and he later retired from TVA. He was a man known for his humorous spirit and unconditional love for his daughters and family. LeVon was always dressed to impress. His favorite saying was “God got me.” He loved God and gave to many religious and nonprofit organizations. LeVon was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Boyd; grandparents, Columbus and Ethel Sivels; nephews, Alonzo Kelly, Michael “June” Wigfall, Juane “Woonie” Boyd, and Shun “Kodak” Collier. Survivors include his caregiver and devoted partner, Glenda Mathis; daughters, Tonia Boyd, Beatrice Franklin, and Levette Boyd; stepdaughter, Pastor Letechia (Nigel) Ellis; 7 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda K. Jones, JoAnn (George) Hughes, Dorothy (Levi) Ussery, Robbie Boyd, Theresa Finch, Darlene Hughley, Rosia Boyd, and Gennetta Boyd; uncles, Jimmy Sivels, Frederick Sivels, and Columbus Sivels; a host of nephews, nieces; other relatives and friends. Bishop Kevin L. Adams, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
