Leroy Montgomery's Obituary
Leroy Montgomery, 85, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, at a local hospital. He attended Howard High School, where he graduated in 1957. He was a member of Anniston Full Gospel Holy Temple, where he was an usher. He was also a member of the Senior Center in Anniston, Alabama. Leroy was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Bell Wilson; his father, West Montgomery; and his brother, Frank Montgomery. Those left to cherish his memories include his daughters, Veronica (Calvin Dennis) Montgomery, of Chattanooga, and Suprema Green, of Atlanta, GA; stepdaughter, Kenetra Parham, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jaquan Swain and Derrica Green; great-grandchild, Michael Hawkins; nephews, Ronald (Dollie) Montgomery, Spencer Ray Montgomery, and Terry Montgomery; brother-in-law, Willie James (Flora) Trueitt, Sr.; friend, Bertie Newbern; a host of relatives and friends. Leroy will lie-in-state on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. with Brother John R. Taylor as the eulogist.
