Leonard D. Driver, Jr., a cherished son, brother, and friend, who departed this life on April 27, 2026. Born on December 17, 1998, in Chattanooga TN, Leonard was a beacon of light and joy to all who were fortunate to know him.
Leonard was known for his infectious smile, his kind heart, and his unwavering loyalty to family and friends. He had an innate ability to make everyone feel important and valued, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere wherever he went. His laughter was contagious, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy.
Education was important to Leonard, he attended The Howard School in Chattanooga, where he made lifelong friendships and left an indelible mark on those who knew him. Leonard was a man of many talents and passions; he was a proud member of the Chattanooga Magician and the Chattanooga Elite AAU Basketball Programs. His dedication, perseverance, and indomitable spirit shone brightly both on and off the court.
Though our hearts are heavy with his loss, we find solace in the memories we shared with Leonard and the legacy of love he leaves behind. He will be forever remembered and cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Leonard was the beloved son of Andrea L. Caldwell and the late Leonard D. Driver, Sr., who predeceased him. He was also the cherished grandson of Leroy and Kimberly Alexander. Leonard's early years were spent surrounded by a loving family that included his great-grandmother, the late Beatrice Thomas, and his grandmothers, the late Barbara Jean Rucker and Alice Ann Rucher, who have all welcomed him with open arms in his eternal home.
Leonard's family was the cornerstone of his life. He shared a special bond with his surviving brothers, Andre' Porter and Kentrell Mikes, and sisters, Na'tajah Porter and LaNeisha Tucker. His niece, A Kenlei Snow, brought immense joy to his heart, and he treasured the moments spent with his great uncles, Darrell, Tracy, and Anthony Jones, and his great aunts, Deborah Caldwell, Vera and Verna Jones. His extended family, including his aunt Millisha Cardwell and uncle Darius Caldwell, along with numerous cousins that enriched his life with love and laughter.
Leonard Driver, Jr. will forever remain in our hearts as a beacon of love, laughter, and light—a testament to a life well lived and a soul that touched so many. May he rest in peace and eternal joy.
Leonard will lie-in-state on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Simpson as the Eulogist.
