Lebron Turman's Obituary
Lebron Turman, 72, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023, in a local hospital. He was born October 4, 1950, in Chattanooga. He received his education from Riverside High School. He was the manager on the basketball team during State Championship, the Mighty Trojans won Regionals and Tennessee State tournament by the 1966-67 crew. He graduated in the class of 1968 and was a member of the Riverside High School Alumni Committee. Lebron was employed by Wheland Foundry over 25 years as a steel worker. Lebron belonged to Miracle Missionary Baptist Church under the late Pastor Horace Scruggs. He served on the Deacon Board and the Brotherhood Department. Lebron was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Turman; parents, L.D. and Hassie Turman-Mathis; three sisters, Lonnie Collie, Uvennie Carter, and Doris Cochran; and two stepsons. Survivors include his sisters, Vivian Mathis of Nashville, TN and Lillie (Gerald) Henderson of Jacksonville, FL; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; Godson; three stepdaughters; dear friends, Jimmy Dyer, Ronald Griffin, James Owens, and many other friends.
