Laverne Ann Parrish's Obituary
Laverne Ann "Boosie" Parrish, 55, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, in a local hospital. She was born on May 27, 1969, to the late Stencial Lee Parrish Sr. and Ms. Gloria Jean Parrish in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She attended Howard High School and worked for Chattem Drugs for many years. Laverne had an infectious smile with a cheerful and lively attitude toward life. She was preceded in death by her father, Stencial Lee Parrish Sr; brother Vencial Crutcher; grandparents Jessie Henderson, Katherine Henderson, Virginia Parrish, Clyde Parrish Sr; and life-long companion Terry Carter. She leaves behind three lovely daughters, Cornelia Bridges, Markita Parrish, and Iasha Billingsley; sisters, Vanessa Parrish Rozzell, Yolanda Brown, Kristie (Tim) Russell, and Waunique Parrish (Flossie); brothers, Stencial (Tulai) Parrish Jr. and Markee Crutcher; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, other relatives and many friends including close friend, Michael McReynolds. Laverne will lie-in-state on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 12:30-5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc. Funeral will be Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
