Lavender Michelle Simmons Chambers' Obituary
Lavender Michelle Simmons Chambers, 52, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was a 1986 graduate of Tyner High School and then received her Associate’s degree from Chattanooga State Community College. She was formerly employed by the Hamilton County Public School System. Michelle was a member of East 2nd Street Church of Christ in Cleveland, Tennessee. She fought a good fight and kept the faith. She leaves behind to cherish her memories three sons, Marcuso Lee Harris, Nathaniel Edward “Chip” Harris, Jr., and LaNor Markey Harrison; two grandchildren, Jacovion Harris and Aniyah Harris; parents, Ronald and Ruby Simmons, Sr., all of Chattanooga; brothers, Travis (Towanda) Simmons of Warsaw, NC and Ronald (Erin) Simmons, Jr. of Louisville, KY; sisters, Dr. Felisa Simmons Gilbert of Murfreesboro, TN and Lisa (Dr. Garnet) Jack, APNP of Lavergne, TN; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. A private family service will be held at a later date.
