Larry Jay Cunningham's Obituary
Larry Jay Cunningham, 49, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, in a local hospital. He graduated from Tyner High School and attended Chattanooga State College for welding. Jay married his wife, Shanii Cunningham in 2009. He was an active member of New Covenant Fellowship Church. Jay was preceded in death by his father, Larry Cunningham; grandparents, William and Flora Cunningham, Henry and Cozette Rittenberry; and his son, Larry Cunningham, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Shanii Cunningham; three children, Lala Cunningham, Ajujuan “AJ” Gields, and Ajani Gields “Mylke”; mother, Gwendolyn Cunningham; brothers, Sean (Lyn) Cunningham of Cartersville, GA, Nicolas (Rena) Cunningham, and ShunJay “Mitchell) Edwards, and Canira Edwards; mother-in-law, Juanna Jackson; sister-in-law, Danielle Jackson; brother-in-law, Tyrus “Duce” Lawrence; close cousin, Bretton Benson; close friend, Eric; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Elder Joe Vesselles will serve as the eulogist.
