Larry Christopher's Obituary
Larry “Buck” LeRoy Christopher, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at his residence. He was a devoted servant of Christ, a loyal member, and a tireless worker at the East Third Street Church of Christ. His faith and commitment to the church were evident in all aspects of his life.
Larry’s professional career was marked by his service to the FBI for twelve years, followed by over forty years in sales, where he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. He was known for his integrity, dedication, and excellence in both fields.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Christopher; his mother, Ruby Christopher; and his brother, Stephen “Steve” Christopher.
He is survived by his brother, Roger (Freda) Christopher; his sister, Bonita (Frank) Woodson; his sister-in-law, Hazel Christopher; and many nieces; nephews; cousins, who will carry on his memory with love and affection. In addition to his family, Larry leaves behind close and cherished friends, including Albert Farley and Chet Kato, whose unwavering support and friendship were a constant source of strength and comfort.
Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his example of service, dedication, and kindness will continue to inspire.
He will lie-in-state on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the Chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the Eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
