LaKeysh Kyntette Ray, 55, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at her residence. She was a graduate of Brainerd High School. LaKeysh was formerly employed by Krystal Company. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. LaKeysh was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Carolyn Knox and Lucy Smith; and stepfather, Michael Hicks, Sr. Survivors include sons, Kelvin Johnson, Sr. and Taurean Patillo; godsons, Demarcus Long and Keith Jones; goddaughters, Sabrae Long and Donisha Long; 7 grandchildren “Ganny Babies”, Knyah Johnson, Rheagan Johnson, Kelvin Johnson, Jr., Rhylei Johnson, Raelynn Johnson, London Patillo, and Kehlani Patillo; father, Clarence (Adrienne) Smith; mother, Cynthia Graham; brothers, Michael (Alicia) Hicks, Jr. and family, Edward Daniels, and Rawshard Smith, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Cheketia Flippin of Chattanooga and Melonie Smith of Chattanooga; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. LaKeysh will lie-in-state on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Pastor Keith Jones, Sr. as the Eulogist.
