Kevin Lebron Richard's Obituary
Kevin Lebron Richard, 54, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, in a local hospital. He was a 1985 graduate of Kirkman High School. Kevin was a true Mighty Hawk. He was the Co-Founder of Little McFun Learning Center, now known as The Blooming Pot Daycare Center; and he was President/CEO of Tennessee Valley Express. Kevin leaves behind a legacy of community activism and mentorship. He was preceded in death by his son, Javaris Richard; stepfather, Ronald Jacoway, Sr.; and maternal grandmother, Easter Jordan. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Ramona Richard; son, Nigel Richard; mother, Hollis Elaine Jacoway; biological father, Dennis Saunders; Alex Richard, all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jani’Lynn and Josh Richard, both of Chattanooga, and Keith Richard of North Carolina; brothers, Keith (Kendra) Richard of Atlanta, GA and Ronald (Jamie) Jacoway, Jr., of Chattanooga; sister, Ebony Jacoway of Chattanooga; father and mother-in-law, Pastor Mose and Lee Whitfield of Calhoun, GA; sisters-in-law, Norma Jean McCoy-Willingham of Town Creek, AL, Vita Glover of Stone Mountain, GA, and Carleen Whitfield of Lithonia, GA; special sister-in-law, Penny McCoy of Chattanooga; special friend, Alvin Bonner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
