Kelly Lorenzo Byrd, Sr., 70, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Byrd; brothers, Fredrick Byrd and Milton Byrd. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Byrd; sons, Kelly Byrd, Jr. of Chattanooga, Tony Brown of Detroit, MI, and Jonathan Byrd of Knoxville, TN; daughters, Sonya (Christopher) Marshall, Angela Byrd, Stacey Byrd, Karen Byrd (Michael) Bellamy, and Sharon (Marcus) Rogers, Pauletta Byrd, all of Chattanooga, Cassandra (David III) Satterwhite of Atlanta, GA, NaTasha Byrd, Erica Byrd, both of Chattanooga, K’Lesha Byrd of Knoxville, and Kayla Byrd of Chattanooga; stepsons, William Montgomery, Jr. and Cedric (Jasmine) Hood; 39 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thurman (Elaine) Byrd, Sherman Byrd, and Charles Beard, all of Chattanooga; sister, Alice (Richard) Goines of Chattanooga. Brother Jimmie Ingram will serve as the eulogist.
