Karen Ann Winters' Obituary
Karen Ann Winters, “Tiny”, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at her residence. She was a 1973 graduate of Chattanooga High School and received her certificate as a Keyboard Operator from Draughon’s Jr. College. Karen was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was formerly employed by the City of Chattanooga as a Permit Officer. Karen was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn McClain; father, Joe W. McClendon, Sr.; brother, Anthony McClendon; sister, Danita McReynolds; granddad, Lovett Storey; and grandmom, Katherine Mangham. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, John Willie Winters; sons, John D. Winters, Sr. and David L. (Keosha) Winters, Sr., both of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Charles Hill, John Winters, Jr., Danielle Porter, Kadarius Johnson, and David Winters, Jr.; one great-grandchild, Shanelle Hill; brother, Joe W. McClendon, Jr. of Chattanooga; sisters, Cotrina McClendon, Jolene (Donald) Crumsey, Loretta Morris, and Teresa Moorer, all of Chattanooga; aunt, Brenda Goodloe of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and close friends. A memorial service will be Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Patrick Martin giving the discourse.
