Ka’Ron D. Gaines, 35, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, in a local hospital. He was born April 19, 1990, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Vinson Gaines and Teara King. Ka’Ron attended Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C.
Ka'Ron was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Roberta Barber; great-grandfather, Gene Evans, Sr.; grandfather, Larry King; grandfather, Roland Reynolds, Sr.; uncle, Donte King.
Those left to cherish his memories include his sons, Kaiston Gaines, JaKarion Gaines, and Ayden Gaines; loving daughters, Kariyah Gaines, Kenslei Gaines, and Amari Gaines; loving mother, Teara (Robert) King Evans; loving and devoted father, Vinson (Nameka) Gaines; godfather, Trammell Hymes; grandparents, Eara King and Mary Ann Gaines; brothers, Robert Evans, Jr., Ra’Shun Evans, Turé Gaines, Xavier Gaines, Dedrick Paris, Kenny (Courtney) Armstrong, and Octavius (LaBrecia) Careathers; loving sisters, Keara Gaines, Precious Gaines, Brianna Gaines, Deajon Gaines, Mary Evans, and Joy Gichile; bonus siblings, Jymon Scott, Warren Scott, and Lauren Scott; special uncles, Larry King, Jr., Dearies King, Marvin Gaines, Gay Gaines, and Roland Reynolds, Jr.; aunts, Nisa King, Regina Reynolds, and Tammy Reynolds; great-aunt, Frankie Johnson; great-uncles, Willie Owens and Gene Evans, Jr.; special cousin, Bre’Vante King; godmothers, Stacy Hunter and Minnie Braden, and other mother, Tara Webb; a host of other relatives and friends. Ka’Ron will lie-in-state on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon with Elder David Boyd officiating and Pastor Tony Bonner as Eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
