Juanita Sands, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at her residence. Juanita was preceded in death by her mother, Helen R. Gaines; father, Henry Sands, Sr.; brother, Charles Piersaul; daughter, Vinisha Bates. Survivors include son, Curtis L. Bates, of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Tinisha Bates and LaMeka (Chris Jones) Sands, of Chattanooga; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Curtis Sands and Arthur Sands, of Chattanooga, Anthony (Margaret) Sands, of Spring City, TX, and James (Pamela) Sands, of Fairburn, GA; sisters, Jeanette Gaines and Thelma Yarbrough, both of Chattanooga; aunt, Catherine Lane, of Chattanooga; a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home
