Joseph “Joe” Edward Ramsey, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at his residence. He was born December 31, 1937. Joe was a retired entrepreneur and also worked in local elections. He was a faithful member of E. Third Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Quincy and Addie Ramsey; grandparents; 4 brothers; and 1 sister. He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories his beloved wife of 62 years, Margarine Ramsey; a host of caring nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; special friend, George Brown and other friends. Joe will lie-in-state on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
