Johnny B. Toney's Obituary
Johnny B. Toney, 75, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at his residence. He was a 1966 graduate of Riverside High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Lillie Mae Toney; wife, Annie Mae Toney; and brother, James “Skip” Toney. Survivors include his daughter, Juanita “Missy” Darlene Toney; sons, Juan Marcellus (Doris) Toney, Nathaniel (Shemica) Metcalf, and Ronald (Amanda) Crumsey, all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jasmine M. Toney, Rickey Toney Chapman, Roddrick Goodman, Tajarah Goodman, Ja’Asia Toney, and Jannessia Toney; great-grandchildren, Nelan Toney Chapman, Colton Toney Chapman, Amina Toney Chapman, Nasir Toney,A’uri (Toney) Byrd, and Riot Toney; brothers, Charles Toney, Sr. and Lu Toney, both of Chattanooga; sister, Darlene Toney of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Johnny will lie-in-state on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Family time will follow from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be no service.
