Johnny “JuneBug” Boswell, Jr., 59, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his residence. He was a member of the New Horizon Baptist Church where he sang in the Choir. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Luetta Boswell; brothers, Lance Boswell and Jimmie McClendon; grandparents, Harrison and Louella Boswell and Samuel and Ollie Thornton. Survivors include his sisters, Georgia Williams of Bronx, NY, Willie McClendon, and Johnnie (Vernard) Owens, both of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Larry Boswell of Oklahoma, Anthony Boswell of Atlanta, GA, and Harrison (Shawn) Boswell of Chattanooga, TN; uncle, Clyde (Marie) Thornton of Akron, OH; aunts, Mary Watts of Washington, DC, Penola Johnson, and Ollie G. Thornton, both of Bronx, NY; sister-in-law, Reva Boswell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pastor Willie Paul will serve as the eulogist.
