Johnnie Lorenzo McMillon Jr.'s Obituary
Johnnie Lorenzo McMillon, Jr., 41, of Chattanooga, gained his wings on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in Decatur, Tennessee after years of battling with Huntington’s Disease. He was a 2000 graduate of Red Bank High School. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. Johnnie loved music, eating, walking, and hanging out with family and friends. He had a very special relationship with his dad, loved to go to work with him and help anyway he could. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Taylor; sister, Phyillis Thompson; and grandparents, George (Thelma) McMillon and Phyllis Bailey. Survivors include his father, Johnnie L. Sr. (Mary) McMillon of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Jeremy McMillon of Nashville, TN, Jayuntae McMillon of Chattanooga, and Cory Wallace of Chicago, IL; sisters, Melissa Greene and Cadesha Joyner, both of Chattanooga; uncles, Larry (Janice) McMillon, Bruce (Bernadine) McMillon, George (Betty) McMillon, Danny (Filicia) Crumsey, Glen Bailey, Jr. all of Chattanooga, John Sullivan of Joliet, IL, Wayne Sullivan of Cleveland, OH, and Charles Sullivan of Houston, TX; aunts, Brenda McMillon, Mary Hill, Carol Pilcher, Pamela Sterns, Dewanda Taylor, Mildred Taylor, Weinshana Bailey, all of Chattanooga, Delores Smith, Loma Sullivan, and Joy Sullivan, all of Mooresville, NC; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; favorite nurse, Missy Carl; and other friends. Johnnie will lie-in-state on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Dr. William Sullivan, Sr. as the Eulogist.
