John T. Leslie's Obituary
John Thomas Leslie, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, in a local hospital. He was a 1959 graduate of Howard High School. John was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the City of Chattanooga after many years of service. John was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carrie Leslie; brothers, James Leslie, Nolan Leslie, and William Leslie; sisters, Vinia Foster and Katheryn Foy; nephews, Terrence Leslie and Michael Fullilove. Survivors include his brother, Nathaniel Leslie; sisters, Ocie Fullilove and Ruthie Wright, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. John will lie-in-state on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Friday, July 7, 2023, follow at 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home in the chapel with Pastor Ocie Fullilove as the eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
