I enjoyed getting to know John while he was hospitalized; He became one of my favorite patients due to his great sense of humor and his compliant spirit--most of the time; I missed him when he was discharged; Rest in peace, dear John;
Sometimes you do not realize the impact a person had on your life until you are much older or when that person passes away. In this case, it is both for me.
Bo (John) was the first example of a man that I had as a young boy. He was strong, hardworking, and serious. But…. he also had a really humorous side. As I type this out, I can see and hear him saying something funny and laughing about it.
Knowing that he has transitioned from this life to the next is sad for me. I miss just knowing he is still hanging in there on this side of heaven. But …. I know he is in peace and at rest which is the promise and blessing of God. May his memory be eternal.

To my Nieces and Nephews John (Bo) will be missed. I had the pleasure of living with Bo after our father passed and he came down for the services. I was 16 years old at the time and Bo asked me and my brother Lewis which one of us wanted to come live with him. I said I would because Lewis was in his senior year and I thought he wanted to finish his last year there in Aliceville and he did. I finished my Junior year and part of my Senior Year there with him. He was always concerned about my grades and how I was doing in school in general. I did manage to make honor roll and that pleased him. Bo started a company to clean houses after the builders completed the project. I worked with him to make money to buy school clothing and other things needed. I will miss my brother greatly. To his children, grand children, and great grand children and all siblings and our children we lost a great man. God Speed
