John Matthew Boyd's Obituary
John Matthew Boyd, 37, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in a Jefferson, Tennessee Medical Facility. He was born July 15, 1988, and was the son of the late James Donald Boyd, Sr. and Martina Lillian Boyd, and adoptive parents, Mindy and Christopher Brian Stepp. John graduated from Howard High School in 2007 and earned several medals in the Special Olympics.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Marie Ware and Jay Boyd.
John leaves to cherish his memories, brothers, Jacob (Angela) Boyd, Joseph (Jessica) Boyd, Hunter Pell, Benjamin Hardin, Michael Stepp, and Joshua Stepp; sisters, Rita (Jose) Guzman, Carralee Kerte, and Kimberly Hardin; along with many nieces; nephews; family and friends.
A Memorial Service for John will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
