Joey Kentrell Moody, 45, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Parker Moody, Sr., and Susie Hampton and Albert Allgood; aunts, Patricia Allgood, Earnestine Hampton, and Loretta Hampton; uncles, James Hampton and William McDade; cousins, Anthony Allgood and Tahra Neal. Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 2 years, Malaika Moody; father, Parker Moody, Jr., of Chattanooga; mother, Kay Frances Moody, of Chattanooga; uncles, Gerry (Judy) Johnson and Clinton (Pamela) Hampton, both of Dalton; aunts, Patsy (William) McDade, of Dalton; godparents, Fred and Ann Gordon; a host of cousins, second-cousins, other relatives, friends, and his Facebook family. Joey will lie-in-state on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the chapel. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
