Joan Davis Evans' Obituary
Joan Davis Evans, 65, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 in a local hospital. She was in the Marching 100 Band at Howard High School and was a 1972 graduate of Brainerd High School. She received her associate degree in 2006 from Chattanooga State College. Joan was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Bell Davis and grandparents, Foster and Estelle Middlebrooks, Jr. Survivors include her children, La Van and Aaron Nelson, Jamie and Fantasy Evans, Maxine Davis, Joseph Rutledge, and James Polk, Jr.; 26 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; father, George Davis; sisters, Sarah (David) Lawson, Maxine Davis, Betty Shaw of Ellenwood, GA, and Barbara Bouie of Chattanooga; uncle, Eldridge Middlebrooks; aunts, Louise Tuggle, Lossie Mae Middlebrooks, and Mary Armstrong; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pastor J. W. Cole will serve as the eulogist.
