Jo Ann Davis' Obituary
Jo Ann Davis, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, December 29, 2026 at her residence. She was born June 25, 1952 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Jo Ann was educated in the Chattanooga Public Schools and was a 1970 graduate of Howard High School. She was formerly employed by the City of Chattanooga as a 911 Dispatcher.
Jo Ann was a member of St. Elmo Baptist Church, where she sang in the Choir and was on the Usher Board.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Overstreet; aunt, Dorothy Davis Pritchett; and uncles, Deforrest Davis and Eddie Lee Davis.
She is survived by her sons, Maurice (Andrinna) Davis of Chattanooga and Darren (Tarama) Davis of Clermont, FL; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Church as the Eulogist.
