Jimmy Louis Bush, Sr., 87, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, in a local hospital. Jimmy Louis Bush, Sr., was born on August 24,1936, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late James Bush and Velma Woods. He is preceded in death by his son, Tony Boseton; daughters, Erma Franklin-Heard, and Stephanie Bush; grandsons, Marcus Williams, Justin Trimble, Delandus J. Pruitt and Tory Bush; granddaughter Artavias Jenkins; brothers, Roland Bush, James Bush, and Larry Bush; sisters, Gwendolyn Taylor (Pig), Velma Jean Bush and Ernestine Tumlin. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Rosalind Wood; sons, Jimmy Jr., Jeffery, Jerry, Jimmy and Santrell Bush, Jeffery Watkins, of Chattanooga, TN, and Michael Sims, of Chicago, IL; daughters, Janis Cottrell, Deborah Brown, Justine (Carlos) Jones, Sharon Madding, Sonya (Donnell) Reynolds, Angela Bush, Kim (Patrick) Bush-Wells, Angela Pruitt of Chattanooga, TN, Felicia Sims of Chicago, IL and Sanyo Dave; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchild; sisters, Argentina Pollard, Carolyn Bumpass, Vivian Bush McClendon, Thelma Crutch; brother; Lebron Bush; aunt, Dorothy Woods; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Truelove's Health Care Services. He will lie-in-state on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
