Jessie Igou's Obituary
Jessie Mae Igou, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, at her residence. She was a graduate of Lafayette Hill High School. Jessie was a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life she attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by Bunge Oil as an office worker. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, William Q. Igou; parents, Robert Russell Thacker, Sr. and Mozzell Thacker; and brother, Fred Scott. Survivors include her brother, Robert (Shirley) Thacker, Jr. of Caldwell, ID; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Jessie will lie-in-state on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel.
