Jessie Lee Golson, Jr., 67, of Chattanooga passed away, Saturday, October 1, 2022, peacefully at his residence. He was a graduate of Howard High/City High School class of 1972. He was a volunteer for the community with Olivet Baptist Church. Jessie was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Lee Golson, Sr.; mother, Ophelia Broadnax Golson. Survivors include his sons, Windarek (Erica) Stewart and Willitrian (Eugenia) Stewart, Sr.; grandchildren, Tri’Darek Stewart, Tri’Darius Stewart, Chyna Smith, Alex Montgomery, Tri’nique Stewart, Tri’Vontae (Marisa) Stewart, Willitrian Stewart, Jr., Kaylen Stewart, Tyree Stewart, Tremsloan Stewart, and Darren Foster, Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Willie (Ernestine) Golson, Edward (Glennis) Golson, Jerome Golson, and Reginald (Annette) Golson; sisters, Regina Golson and Semeria Golson Clemons; uncle, William (Bessie) Broadnax; aunts, Velma Broadnax, Ophelia White, Edith Howard, Lillie Broadnax, and Velma Coleman; fiancé and caregiver, Marjorie Louise Thurman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Pastor Lurone Jennings will serve as the eulogist.
