Jessie Phipps Copeland 's Obituary
Jessie Phipps Copeland, 94, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 in a local healthcare facility. She was a graduate of Howard High School. She graduated from Madam C.J. Walker Cosmetology School. She was the owner of Jessie’s Coiffures. Jessie was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Willie Copeland. Survivors include her son, Vaughn Pago (Ola) Phipps of Chattanooga; daughters, Emery (Gary) Cooper of Chattanooga and Seteria (Richard) Simpson of McDonough, GA; granddaughter, Latisha Simpson of McDonough; grandsons, Vaughn Phipps of McDonough, Vincent (Benita) Phipps and Darnell Cooper of Chattanooga; four great-grandchildren; niece, Doris Goggans of Jamaica Queens, NY; a host of other relatives and friends. The family will have a private service and entombment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
