Jerry Julius Moore, Jr.'s Obituary
Jerry Julius Moore, Jr., 70, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in a local hospital. He graduated from Howard High School in 1974. Jerry was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Jerry was always sharply dressed to the dime, and was called ‘Flabby Fly’. He was loved by all his friends in Riverview Tower Apartments. Jerry was also loved by his companion, Brenda Smith and his best friend, Jimmy Bush.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Sarah Moore; uncle, Ernest Strickland.
Jerry was a loving and caring father; brother; and grandfather. He leaves behind to mourn three sons, Jerry, III, Antonio “Tum Tum”, and Michael Moore; his sister, Kressie Moore of NJ; brother, Connell Moore; several grandchildren; aunts, Wylene (Rev. Bonner) Bonner of St. Louis, MO and Gloria Strickland; uncle, Connell Strickland of Ringgold, GA; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Jerry’s love and kindness will be missed and cherished. Though we will miss him dearly, he will always remain close to our hearts. See you in heaven ‘Flabby Fly’.
