Jerome Kern Burch, Sr., 73, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at his residence. He attended Howard High School. He retired from the City of Chattanooga Public Works Department after serving over 50 years. He attended Truth Baptist Church at a very early age later joining Rock Island Baptist Church. Jerome was preceded in death by his father Randolph Banks; mother, Jimmie Lois Jones; brothers, William Burch and Larry Cole. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Burch; children, Cynthia (Anibal) Torres, Sharon (Kenneth) Richardson, Jerome (Sheryl) Burch, Deatrice (Allen) Gladden, Buffy Burch, DeVonna (Shawn) Dorton, Nakisha Franklin, and Rashika Crayton; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six siblings, David (Eleanor) Burch, Tara Henderson, Richard (Gloria) Jones, Michael (Carolyn) Jones, Myra (Elgin) Armstrong, and Tyrone (Tammy) Tillison; devoted friend, John Walker. Pastor Ronald B. Cook, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
