Jennifer D. Howard's Obituary
Jennifer Deneen Howard, 60, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in a local hospital. She was affectionately known as Janice by family and close friends. Jennifer was educated in the Chattanooga Public Schools and was a 1983 graduate of Kirkman High School. She was formerly employed by Seaboard Farms and a member of New Horizon Baptist Church. Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Sarah Howard; sisters, Gloria Howard and Flora Mae Howard; brother, Troy Howard; and brother-in-law, Ikey Charles. Survivors include her son, Jerome Cosey, Jr.; daughter, Latasha (Sedric, Sr.) Meadows, both of Augusta; goddaughter, Rochell Moten; 12 grandchildren, Faith Williams, Santrell West, Sedric Meadows, Jr., Sedriana Meadows, Jaylin Meredith, Jziyah Dent, Jerome Moten, Darren Cosey, Messiah Cosey, Nevaeh Cosey, Kiana Thompson, and Jarvis Thompson; great-grandchildren, Kaiden Lyons, Kylie Thompson, and Kingston Thompson; brothers, Lee Howard, Leon Howard, both of Sparta, GA, Ronnie Howard, and Timothy Howard, both of Chattanooga; sister, Diane Charles of Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Starlyn Howard of Chattanooga; aunt, Rosie May Tucker of Sparta, GA; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; best friend since childhood, Ernestine Smith-Lovelace; father of children, Jerome Cosey, Sr.; and a host of other friends. Jennifer will lie-in-state on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Willie Paul as the Eulogist.
