Jeffrey Knox, Sr.'s Obituary
Jeffrey Knox Sr., 60, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021. He was a 1979 graduate of Kirkman Technical High School. He was as member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He later went on to attend UCLA, with a concentration in Clinical Psychology, and Chicago State University, where he earned his master’s degree in Social Work. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, David McCray Sr., and Carolyn B. Knox; grandmothers, Estella T. Knox and Bessie Thomas; brother, Kareen Shabazz; and son, Jerred David Knox. Survivors include fiancé, Joyce Anderson; sons, Jeffrey (Rika) Knox Jr; brothers, Jerry Shropshire, Michael Knox, Gregory (Melissa) Shropshire, Dr. Rodney F. Knox, Tracy L. Knox, and Anthony Knox; sisters, Wanda (Douglas) Spencer, Cynthia Graham, and Debra Shropshire-Harkness; a host of cousins; nephews; nieces; other relatives and friends. Pastor Samuel C. Wilson is the eulogist.
