Jeanette Howard Cotton's Obituary
Jeanette Howard Cotton, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in a local hospital. She attended Hamilton County Public Schools. She was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church where she served on numerous committees. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Reverend B.R. Cotton; parents, Walter and Sarah Howard, Sr.; and brother, James Howard. Survivors include her daughters, Denise Howard of Chattanooga, Joyce Leslie, Pam Morgan, both of Atlanta, GA, Alice Jackson of Charleston, SC, and Anna Lytley of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Howard, Jr.; sister, Gwendolyn (James) Hines, both of Chattanooga; a host of great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Pastor Kelvert Scruggs will serve as the eulogist.
