Jaycoy Marquise Burns, 30, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023. He graduated from Hixson High School in 2010. Jaycoy attended Chattanooga State Community College. Survivors include his father, Robert Burns, Jr. of Newman, GA; mother, Vivian Burns of Chattanooga; grandparents, Edward and Wanda Monroe of Chattanooga and Robert and Debra Burns, Sr. of Orlando, FL; brothers, Bricoy Monroe of Greeley, CO and Christopher Burns of Chattanooga; uncle, Dan Reed of Chattanooga; aunts, Veronica Reed of Chattanooga and Jessica Burns of Orlando; cousins, A’naye Reed, Randall Reed, David Reed, and Dan Reed, III; best friend, Donovan Mitchell; friends, AGI members; a host of other relatives and friends. Jaycoy will lie-in-state on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. John R. Taylor, Sr. as the eulogist.
