James A. Woodruff's Obituary
James Alexander Woodruff, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at his residence. He was a 1969 graduate of Riverside High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. James retired from National Posters after many years of service. He was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. James was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Earldene Woodruff, Sr.; siblings, Cecilia Smith, John A. Woodruff, Sr., Earnest Woodruff, and Michael Woodruff. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Ann Woodruff; daughters, Lisa Woodruff, Leia Woodruff, both of Cleveland, OH, Niki Taylor, and Crystal Anderson, both of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Lauryn, Tee Tee, Larry, and Cassandra; one great-grandchild, Landyn; brother, Larry (Mary) Woodruff of Chattanooga; sisters, Gail Cunningham and Bernadine (Jerry) Cranford; both of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Family visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
