James William Thompson, Jr.'s Obituary
James William Thompson, Jr., 85, formerly of Columbia, SC, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in a local hospital. He retired from EPA of New York after many years of service. He was a professional landscaper. James was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank and Johnny Thompson; niece, Kadishia “DD” Gibson; and aunt, Susie Trezevant. Survivors include his devoted wife of six years, Patricia Watters Thompson; son, Joseph Thompson (Patricia Genovese); daughter, Susan Thompson; grandson, Joseph (“Lil’ Joe) Thompson, Jr.; sister, Carlos Stackhouse; stepdaughters, Serena Hester and Dawn Brown; step-grandchildren, Shunta Scruggs, Dumonic (Radale) Davis, Takela Watters, Darnell Watters, Jr., Charles Watters, and Cyan Watters; a host of other relatives and friends. Pastor Alexander Bullard, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
