James Allen Springs' Obituary
James Allen Springs, 43, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023, in a local hospital. He was a 1998 graduate of Howard High School of Academics and Technology, and a member of Second St. James Missionary Baptist Church. James was preceded in death by his father, Pastor James P. Springs; and grandparents, S.E. and Evalena Springs, and Theodore McGraw. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Ashley Springs; daughters, Aleah and Jasmine Springs; mother, Annette Springs; grandmother, Betty McGraw; sister, Quantina (Javonnie) Simms; nieces, Taylor and Tiana Simms; nephew, Jermichael Springs, all of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Angela Harmon; father-in-law, Dennis Paris; uncle, Ulysses (Sharon) Springs of Jasper, TN; aunts, Beverly Patrick, Norma Reynolds, Glenda Springs, all of Jasper, TN, Patricia (Melvin) Hambrick, Darlene McGraw, both of Chattanooga, and Beverly (Ivan) Cousin of Atlanta, GA; as well as a host of other family and friends. James will lie-in-state on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Pastor Gerald Penn as the eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
