James Nicholson Jr.'s Obituary
James Nicholson, Jr., 64, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in a local hospital. He was the first of five children. He attended Kirkman High School, but graduated from Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California. James was employed by Seaboard Farms (Pilgrim’s Pride) for 28 years. He attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, James Nicholson, Sr.; brother, Anthony Nicholson, grandmothers, Mamie Weaver and Gabrilla M. Moody; grandfather, Alonzo Nicholson; mother-in-law, Thelma D. Lewis; brothers-in-law, Robert Stanley and Bernard Stanley; nephew, Julius Lord; and uncle, John Cox. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Millie Nicholson; mother, Juanita Nicholson; daughters, Shunquita (Richard) Avery and Krystal (Qwintral) Nicholson; son, Anthony (Carolyn) Nicholson; grandchildren, Antwon Woodall, Autumn Young, Akaylah Young, Lorenzo Williams, Zoey Williams, Brooklyn Nicholson, and E’Zariyah Harrison; sisters, Vanessa (Tony) Calloway, Carla (Larry) Mayes, and Natalie (Offord) Sims; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Freddie) Boyd and Elaine Lewis; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; special friends, Brenda Moton, Carla Odom, LaShaunda Odom, Stephanie Murray, Thomas Miller and other friends. Elder Leroy Fitch will serve as the eulogist.
