James Lebron McReynolds' Obituary
James Lebron McReynolds, 57, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in a local hospital. He was a 1986 graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. James was a member of Pilgrim Rock Baptist Church where he sang in the Choir and the Male Choir. He was a car detailer with Integrity Chevrolet and Mountain View Ford. James was also a musician/rapper. He was preceded in death by his father, James McReynolds; aunt, Gwendolyn Alicia McReynolds; grandparents, David and Mary McReynolds, Robert and Ida Bell Anthony; uncles, David McReynolds, Aaron McReynolds, and Jessie McReynolds; and brother, Jeffrey Peters. Survivors include his daughter, Jazmin Marie McReynolds (DeShaun) Kinard of Indianapolis, IN; mother, Elder Carolyn Hammonds; stepmother, Brenda McReynolds; brother, Michael McReynolds; sisters, Rev. Karen McReynolds (Jason) Collins and Marcy McReynolds; uncles, George (Patricia) McReynolds, Joe (Linda) McReynolds, and Edward (Claudia) McReynolds; aunts, Mary Anthony-Brooks, Linda Faye Watkins, Ada Scott, and Rose McReynolds-Johnson, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; special friend, Rhonda Watkins; cousin/best friend, Derrick Scott, and many other friends. James will lie-in-state on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 3-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Mary Lisa Wigfall as the eulogist.
