James Edward Cunningham's Obituary
James Edward Cunningham, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, in a local hospital. He was educated in the Chattanooga Public Schools. James was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church and he retired from Mueller Company after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Cunningham, Sr. and Emma Lee Moore Cunningham; wife, Patricia Kelley Cunningham; and brother, Charlie Cunningham, Jr. Survivors include his daughter, Alisa Cunningham (Carlos) Locklin; sons, Kenneth (Angela) Cunningham and Brillard Kelley, both of Chattanooga; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. James will lie-in-state on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in Forest Hills Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Hampton giving words of comfort. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
