James Allen Cooper's Obituary
James Allen Cooper, 79, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at his residence. He was a 1961 graduate of Howard High School. He was a member of Westside Missionary Baptist Church. James was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; two sisters and four great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jacqueline Cooper; son, Greglin (Gevonna) Cooper; daughters, Andriene (James) Stubbs, Sharon Taylor, and Valerie (Samuel) Blackmon, all of Chattanooga; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Bettie Gross of Atlanta, GA; in-laws, John (Cheryl) DeBardeleben, Brenda (Rudolph) Houston, Vanerette Hayes, Vodie (Donna) DeBardeleben, of Texas, and Dillard DeBardeleben; several nieces; nephews; cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pastor Timothy Careathers will serve as the eulogist.
