James R. Bradley, Sr.'s Obituary
James Robert Bradley, Sr. was born on December 11, 1935, to parents Ernest Bradley, Sr. and Ethel Smith. He attended Booker T. Washington School. James was previously married to Frankie Lorraine Bradley. James was an avid bike rider, loved to listen to R&B music, and will be remembered as a quiet and gentle soul.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Bradley, Sr.; mother, Ethel Smith; brothers, Ernest Bradley, Jr., Andrew Smith; sister, Martha Robinson. James passed away on January 6, 2024 in a local hospital. Left to cherish James’s memory are his sons, James Robert (Sabrena) Bradley, Jr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Daryl Dewayne Bradley of Mississippi; daughters, Vanessa Sharon Laster, Dewanda Denise Bradley, Jacqueline Phinazee, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; faithful niece and dedicated caretaker, Beverly Bigoms; and a host of other family and friends. Burial on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
